Original Daffodil Cloth

This was my very first attempt at my own pattern. It came out fine other than the fact that it was quite a bit too big. These cloths on a whole are usually about an 8in square, but this first Daffodil cloth was about the size of a hand towel. And since I did it from the top instead of the bottom the image got flipped. Don't ask me why, I have no idea, because if I did it from the bottom, it would come out right. Just one of those weird fluke things I guess. The picture I took is from the back of the cloth.

Finished Knits

These pictures are from patterns that are NOT mine. I found all of these at Knitting Pattern Central. It is a wonderful site where I go first to see what kind of things they have before I decide whether or not I want to try to figure out how to design something. I recommend that if you would like to try knitting then to use this site, it's great.

Knitting Bug

I guess I should start by explaining how I quite suddenly got bitten by the "Knitting Bug." I happened across a mystery book that was set in a yarn shop, with the main character learning to knit in the process of dealing with the rest of the story. It was 'A Killer Stitch' by Maggie Sefton. It was actually the scarf pattern at the back of the book that I first did, and finished!!! Believe me, that is something special. I tend to like to try new things, but I rarely manage to finish the first project, out of the new medium, that I start. I did the scarf for my younger brother Taron, who was going away to school at BYU Idaho. I felt like it came out beautifully, and it had two cables in it, so it wasn't a really simple project to start with, something else I seem to do quite often with my first projects. Goofy Once I find the picture again I will post it.
